I work as an independent branding professional in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Before moving to Denmark in 2018 I lived in Oslo, Norway where I founded Nanako&Co in 2015.
I have over 20 years of experience in Branding from my time working in international branding agencies. At Interbrand in Hamburg I was the leader of the Packaging Design team for key clients like Unilever and Bayer, at Brandimage Tokyo I was in charge of our key clients Danone and Otsuka and at Landor Tokyo I worked on various packaging and corporate design projects such as Mt.Rainier and Kikkoman. My love for branding, that has sparked early on in my career, has been a key motivator and I have been passionate about it ever since.
My Japanese/German background and my many years of experience working in this industry allow me to plan, execute and manage projects efficiently while not loosing sight of the overall goals.
While the success of a project is important to me, the people I work with and for are what makes this work so enjoyable and I love the energy that comes from this interaction.

Besides my work I also participated in training courses such as the Color Marketing Group workshop in Singapore and the Art Directors Club seminar in Tokyo, where I successfully completed a half year Art Director training course led by the most renowned Designers in Japan.

I hold a Bachelors degree in Communication Design and Branding from the Design Factory International in Hamburg. My studies included an exchange program at the Donghua University in Shanghai as well as four internships in branding and design agencies in Hamburg, Shanghai and Tokyo. Following my passion for Japanese culture, design and aesthetics I later moved to Tokyo where I lived and worked for six years.

I have worked for a wide range of clients and gained experience across various industries on key accounts such as:
Unilever, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Danone, SCA, Barbor, Telekom, Kikkoman, P&G, Ajinomoto, Coty Prestige, Kirin, Suntory, Meiji, Morinaga, Toshiba, Otsuka, Takeda, Japan Airlines, Mikimoto and Japan Tobacco.
